Banana Pudding Parfait

Banana Pudding to die for!  This is Paula Deans recipe I found on one of my favorite sites.  But I’m too poor to use the Pepperidge Farm cookies, so I used plan ole vanilla wafers, which worked just wonderful.

I think this is one of the most comforting foods you can eat in the summer time without getting “too heavy” on your summer tummy.  Then again it’ll do some damage to your summer “hips” though.

My husband has been asking for me to make this for some time now.  Well, I finally found time and not with any time to spare as you can see from the really ripe bananas. 

I do have to admit though, I used the recipe from Nilla Wafers by Nabisco.  The recipe has been around longer than me and I for one, would say it is the best!  It’s quick and easy, but still  homemade, not pudding mix. 

We also do not really care for the meringue topping, so I left it off.  It’s just personal preference I guess! Continue reading

Those Summer Veggies Are Here!
