Home Made Banana Pudding

IMG_4105Home Made Banana Pudding (Finally!)

My husband has been asking for me to make this for some time now.  Well, I finally found time and not with any time to spare as you can see from the really ripe bananas.

I do have to admit though, I used the recipe from Nilla Wafers by Nabisco.  The recipe has been around longer than me and I for one, would say it is the best!  It’s quick and easy, but still  homemade, not pudding mix.

We also do not really care for the meringue topping, so I left it off.  It’s just personal preference I guess! Continue reading

Those Summer Veggies Are Here!

IMG_4032Oh summer!  Here we go again.  I love summer, don’t get me wrong.  During the winter months I dream of what my garden is going to become in the spring.  Perfect rows of my favorite vegatables, dark rich soil, and no weeds within site.

Well get real.  Continue reading

Just For FUN Cupcakes!

I had a free day, which is rare and a hankering to bake (as usual).  So looky what happened.  Cupcakes with sprinkles!  They were simple, quick and fun.  And best of all, they were eaten up by everyone that stopped by and not one landed on my hips thank goodness!

Benefit Golf Tournament

It doesn’t look it but this cake was very large.  It was the largest cake I’ve done so far and I loved it!  All be it my nerves were shot by the time it was done.  It was for a great cause though and I was happy to do it!

El Sweet Cavities!

Don’t you just love it when there is something to celebrat every other day!  This cake was actually done for a feista themed party.  It was really simple and fun to do.  The sombrero is actually a cupcake covered in fondant with a ribbon to match the other colors of the cake.

Kitten In a Basket

IMG_3172Here Kitty Kitty.

This was a cake I did for my niece who loves kittens.  But what little girl doesn’t love kittens!  Everything is cake except for the balls of yarn which is rice krispie treats wrapped in fondant.  The basket and kitten are iced in buttercream with fondant accents.
